Privacy Policy
What we never collect
We will never ask for your Instagram, TikTok or X password, and we do not store one. We do not connect to your accounts on your behalf and we do not pull your saves out of them. The only way anything enters SaveMyPosts is you sending it to us from the share sheet.
What we keep
- The links you save. The post’s address, plus the title, caption, author name and preview image the platform already publishes openly.
- The card we generate. Title, summary, type, tags, and the numeric representation we use for search.
- Account information. The identity Apple or Google provides if you signed in; if you continued anonymously, just a random user ID.
- Usage events. Saving, searching, opening a save. We keep these to measure whether the product is actually useful.
Where AI comes in
We send the post’s preview image and caption to our AI provider and get back a title, summary, type and tags. We generate a text representation on Google Cloud so search works. Neither provider uses this data to train models.
Media files
We do not download the video or photo itself. We store only the small preview image the platform already serves publicly. If a post is deleted at the source, your save shows as unreachable — we do not offer this as a backup service.
Collections you share
Sharing a collection creates an unguessable link, and anyone holding it can see that collection. Your notes, your archive and your other collections are not included on that page. Revoking the link stops the old address working immediately.
Deletion
Deleting a save removes our copy; your Instagram save is untouched. To delete your entire account, email [email protected] and we will permanently erase everything within 30 days.
